Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi state has approved the payment of 70 Thousand Naira new minimum wage to civil servants in the state.
The Governor disclosed this while speaking to a group of journalists at new government house in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi state capital, directing the state head of service to draft out modalities for the payment of the new minimum wage.
He however restated his commitment to adhere strictly to the supreme court ruling on financial autonomy for local government councils.
