The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) has dismissed claims suggesting that October salaries of Federal workers will be delayed due to an ongoing upgrade of the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS).
In a statement signed and released by the Director For Press, Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, Bawa Mokwa, the OAGF said the upgrade is part of a planned consolidation of existing payroll systems and will not disrupt salary payments for the month.
Recall that the integrated personnel and payroll information system was introduced in 2007 as part of public service reforms aimed at curbing ghost workers and improving transparency in the federal government’s payroll.
