The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has disclosed that the Warri-Itakpe train has derailed in the Agbor Area of Delta State, four days after the resumption of train service was announced.
In a statement signed by its Managing Director, Kayode Opeifa, no casualties were recorded, as all passengers on board were safely evacuated and everyone has been fully accounted for.
Opeifa, however, said train services on the corridor has been temporarily suspended for a comprehensive safety audit of the track and related infrastructure.
