Iran has denied President Donald Trump’s claim that fresh negotiations with the United States are underway to end the conflict between the two countries.
Tehran’s foreign ministry insisted no talks are taking place, despite Trump’s statement that he delayed new military strikes to give diplomacy another chance.
The dispute comes as fighting enters its sixth month, with tensions over Iran’s control of the strategic Hormoz shipping route remaining a major obstacle to any peace agreement.
