Kano State Government has assured that it will not abandon youths who have renounced thuggery, saying they possess talents that can benefit society if given the right support and guidance.

The State’s Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Waiya, gave the assurance during a ceremony organized to receive some youths who decided to quit violence and embrace peace.

Waiya said the Government recognizes that many of the youths involved in such activities have useful skills that can contribute to the development of the state once they are properly rehabilitated.
