The Ogun I area command of the Nigeria customs service has reaffirmed its commitment to securing the Idiroko border while promoting legitimate cross-border trade.

Acting customs area controller, Oladapo Afeni, gave the assurance during a visit by Ogun state Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, to the command headquarters.

Afeni said stronger collaboration with security agencies and joint operations with Beninese counterparts are boosting border security and tackling cross-border crime.
