The Nigeria Police Force says it has recorded a major breakthrough in the fight against transnational crime with the dismantling of a human trafficking and fraud syndicate operating in the federal capital territory and neighbouring communities.

In a statement, force public relations officer, Anthony Placid, said the operation led to the rescue of 30 foreign nationals and the arrest of 13 suspects linked to the criminal network.

According to the police, investigations began after intelligence reports revealed the suspicious disappearance of several foreign nationals within Nigeria.
