Ebonyi state police command has dismissed reports of bandits or suspected Fulani herdsmen operating in Nguzu Edda community, saying a security sweep found no such threat.
The command described viral social media claims of an invasion by armed bandits and herders as false and misleading.
State police spokesperson, Joshua Ukandu said the verification exercise was ordered by commissioner of police, hope Okafor following the circulation of the reports online.
