The Delta State Police Command has dismissed claims that the Alue-do festival in Ozoro is a “rape festival,” stating that no official rape complaint has been reported.

Police Spokesperson, Bright Edafe made this known during an interview with newsmen, describing the allegations as baseless.

He emphasized that investigations rely strictly on evidence and witness accounts, adding that the festival is a traditional rite and not intended to promote sexual violence.
