A senior advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, has urged president Bola Tinubu to approve the recruitment of 1,000 forest guards for Borno State to strengthen security and combat rising insecurity.
Falana made the call, citing the federal government’s recent approval of forest guards in Oyo state as a model that should be replicated in Borno.
He argued that Borno deserves similar intervention, especially given the persistent security threats and the number of residents still being held captive.
