The defence headquarters’ joint task force north west has launched operation clean sweep to hunt down terrorists and bandits in Matazu Local Government area and nearby communities in Katsina State.
The operation follows the killing of retired Rabe Abubakar, who was abducted alongside his wife by suspected terrorists.
Military authorities say the offensive is aimed at eliminating the attackers, dismantling criminal networks, and restoring security across the affected areas.
