At least 11 people have been killed in fresh bandit attacks on Rabah and Sabon Birni Local government areas of Sokoto state.
Among the victims were two operatives of the Sokoto community guard corps, while several others were abducted.
However, the attacks have renewed concerns over worsening insecurity, with calls for better support and equipment for security personnel.
