The federal government has flagged off the National Generator Emission Control Program and the National vehicular Emission Control Program in order to reduce air pollution in the country.
Minister of Environment, Muhammed Abdullahi made this known in Abuja, lamenting that the use of generators for both domestic and industrial power supply and the harmful pollutants such as oxides of nitrogen have contributed greatly to the poor air quality which negatively affects the environment and human health.
Abdullahi however revealed that the flagged off of the two control program will help the country in improving the health issues of citizens in the country.
