Some yet-to-be-identified assailants have kidnapped an Anambra businessman, Pius Egwuekwe, from his home at Umuchu community in Aguata local government area of Anambra state.
State Police Spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga who confirm the incident to newsmen, explained that Egwuekwe who just returned from Zaria to celebrate Christmas was whisked away by the gunmen in front of his house and taken to an unknown destination adding that no contact has been established since then.
Ikenga however assured the people to go about their celebration peacefully as the police force is on top of the situation.
