Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has disclosed that cancer is not a respecter of persons, saying his government will join hands with the first ladies against cancer to diagnose and detect it early stage.
Governor Abiodun gave the assurance when he received the chairperson of first ladies against cancer; wife of the Governor of Imo State, Chioma Uzordinma and wife of the minister of budget and national planning, Doctor Zainab Bagudu who is the president union for international cancer controlled by his wife, Bamidele Abiodun.
Governor Abiodun who promised to work and support them with budgetary, said he will discuss with the state commissioner for health, Doctor Tomi Coker to see if cancer screening trust funds can be included in the state health insurance scheme.
