Federal Government has summoned all humanitarian agencies to a meeting, in a bid to tackle the widespread destruction caused by floods across the country.
Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sani Gwarzo, who chaired the meeting in Abuja, told journalists that government is working hard to address flood situation in states.
Over 500 persons, according to him has so far been confirmed dead, with 45,249 houses damaged, while 70,566 hectares of farmland were destroyed across the country due to flood crisis
