The House of Representatives has proposed a five-year jail term or 500 thousand Naira fine for any person convicted of leaking examination questions.
The proposed legislation sponsored by a member representing Oredo Federal Constituency, Esosa Iyawe, also revealed that three-year jail term has been slated for persons under 18 years convicted of engaging in examination malpractices.
He further stated that any principal, teacher, an invigilator, an examiner or employee of the examination body caught with the offence will attract a four-year jail term, without an option of fine.
