The national agency for food and drug administration and control, (NAFDAC) has conducted coordinated raids across supermarkets and open markets in some areas in Abuja including Wuse and Garki markets.
The agency made this known in a post on its official x handle noting that several unregistered and counterfeit cosmetics were seized with a total street value of 37 million naira.
According to the agency, the development is part of efforts to rid the market of counterfeit and illegally imported cosmetics products in the nation’s capital.
