The Department of State Services (DSS) in Ogun state has arrested the 2023 governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Ladi Adebutu.
PDP Publicity Secretary in the State, Kayode Adebayo, confirmed the arrest and detention of Adebutu in a statement he released in Abeokuta, the state capital, noting that Adebutu was reportedly invited for questioning in connection with disturbance during the local government elections held last Saturday, November 16, 2024.
he therefore noted that adebutu called for calm, and directed that all members of the party, supporters and well-wishers should be rest assured that this time shall pass, adding that it is one of the prices for democracy.
